Payment terms, invoices and credit: how it works

How invoices are issued, how terms and credit limits work, and how to keep orders moving.

By Universal Wholesale

Every confirmed order is invoiced to your account. Your dashboard shows each invoice, what has been paid and what is still due.

Payment terms

Your payment terms are set on your account — for example due on receipt, Net 15 or Net 30. The due date on each invoice follows your terms, and you'll get a friendly reminder a few days before it's due.

Partial payments

Payments can be made in parts. Each payment is recorded against the invoice and the remaining balance updates straight away.

Credit limits and holds

Some accounts have a credit limit. If a new order would take your balance over the limit, or an invoice is overdue, the order is held for our accounts team to review before it is released. Keeping invoices current keeps your orders moving without delay.
